About Sarah Gonsalves
Sarah’s studies and experiences sparked her interest in furthering her education within the clinical counselling field. She has extensive experience working with at-risk youth at a community centre and previously completed a BSc in Psychology, which she found engaging. Sarah’s style is warm, compassionate, caring, and non-judgmental. She is also honest and able to challenge others in a supportive way. Sarah has an interest in helping people with depression, anxiety, self-esteem, parenting, life transitions, cultural adjustments, family of origin, career planning, spirituality/faith, emotional regulation, and grief/loss. She uses an integrative approach including Narrative therapy, Cognitive Behavioural therapy, Solution-Focused therapy, and Client-Centered therapy. With the client’s consent or at their request, Sarah is willing and happy to include spiritual integration into therapy sessions. She also respects and appreciates cultural diversity, as she comes from a fairly diverse background. Sarah loves music, singing, travelling, and spending most of her free time with family, but especially with her toddler son.
